What is a Small Business Mentor?

The mission of my firm is to be a “Small Business Mentor”.

I started out my career by working for large corporations in the capacity of an employee or third party provider. My background was in the financial areas of auditing, tax, corporate planning and budgeting, and controllership.  I honestly got tired of the politics and wanted more control over my career direction.

I started working with small closely held corporations and developed a greater appreciation for the risks they are subject to and the rewards they can reap if they are successful.

As my career path progressed I became more sensitive and involved in the areas of operations, sales and marketing. So that is why I consider myself a “Small Business Mentor”.

I am not just a “bean counter”. I address problems related to FINANCE, CUSTOMERS, OPERATIONS, PEOPLE, and  Small Business Owners concerns. I accomplish this by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing strategies in the small business environment. Future blogs will highlight the common problems that face small business.
